MARCH 2026 MEETING

Busy meetings have become the norm, and this was no exception with 17 members in attendance.

We were also pleased to welcome Ian as a guest.

Activity in 009, NG7 and SM32 with rolling stock builds and test track running.

We even let a 00 layout in! Pete and Martin fettling their layout ahead of an appearance at Lutterworth.

Homemade Lemon cake and Flapjacks kept the attendees suitably fuelled.

A busy meeting with 16 members present.

Plenty of activity in 009, NG7 and SM32 with work on members own layouts and some of the group's items.

All fuelled by chocolate cake and swiss roll.

JANUARY 2026 MEETING

The first meeting of 2026 was another busy one with 009 and SM32 items on display.

A brief AGM saw the re-election of the existing Committee - although a job swap meant Andi become our Chairman.

We welcomed Steve as a new member - and look forward to his input the the growing tinplate modules.

December 2025 Meeting

Our final meeting of 2025 was another well attended one with 16 members and three guests.

A range of layouts from a tiny 009 pizza to one of the SM32 boards.

Several Christmas items were on display - including a real tree on the large scale board.

We enjoyed a shared buffet lunch - with a range of sweet and savoury items brought along by the members.

November 2025 Meeting

A busy meeting with 15 members in attendance.

A feedback session about the 2025 exhibition confirmed that we all thought the day had gone well - and we'd like to do it all again next year!

As ever plenty of activity in multiple gauges.

Pete S and Martin managed to sneak in a 00 layout - not quite sure how that happened!

October 2025 Meeting

Much of the meeting focussed on the preparations for the upcoming exhibition.

John and Bob worked on several of the modules, whilst Pete S and Martin checked over the club's 0-16.5 rolling stock.

Nick was painting the bridge on his 009/H0e micro layout and Jack was fettling a recently acquired 3D signal cabin,

Garry took advantage of the available space to assemble his complete Lynton & Barnstaple based layout - giving a run of around 18ft.

Pete and Andi had some SM32 locos and Graeme had his sales stand with new and secondhand items.

We welcomed a new member - Robin - who got stuck in working on the club's Quarry End layout.

The meeting was fuelled by Andi's bread pudding and assortment of other cakes and biscuits.

September 2025 Meeting

Another busy meeting at the Scout Hut with a range of projects from 009 to SM32.

Pete and Andi had "Middle Earth" joined to Hill Farm - many took the chance to drive a radio control train.

Pete S had his 009 layout up and running, while Jack and Garry spent time on their respective layouts.

Nick was working on some large scale items including an impressive railcar.

Several members worked together to get the 0-16.5 modules electrically connected - with trains running by the afternoon.

We welcomed visitors Robin and Dick, who joined the members in enjoying the cakes on offer including a homemade lemon drizzle.

August 2025 Meeting

A well attended meeting at the Scout Hut with lots of work being done to prepare some of the group's layouts ahead of their exhibition attendances.  Other members spent time on their own layouts and rolling stock projects.

Members worked together throughout the day and achieved some good results - particularly on the 0-16.5 modules which saw running over some 20ft by the end of the meeting.

Another multi-scale meeting with 009, NG7 (0-16.5) and SM32 projects being worked on.

A true multi-scale meeting with 009, NG7 (0-16.5) and SM32 projects being worked on.

No homemade cake this time - but we managed to get by with a swiss roll and chocolate biscuits!!

June 2025 Meeting

Another well attended meeting at the Scout Hut - limited running but members were working on a variety of projects and club layouts.

It was a bumper meeting for homemade cake - with three different choices provided by the members.

The busy members were suitably fuelled with a range of cakes and biscuits, including homemade bread pudding courtesy of Andi.

April 2025 Meeting

Another busy meeting at the Scout Hut featuring large layouts in 009, 0-16.5 and SM32.

There was also a taste of live steam - thanks to Steve's Mamod.

And TWO homemade cakes and Easter biscuits!!

March 2025 Meeting

Another busy meeting at the Scout Hut with a dozen members working on a range of projects.

Suitable fuel was provided by cups of tea and homemade cake!

December 2024 Meeting

A busy meeting with activity from 009, 0-16.5 and SM32 areas of the group.

Several members were resplendent in assorted Christmas jumpers.

All topped off with a shared Christmas buffet!

December 2023 Meeting

Our December meeting was the 20th anniversary of the group.

Our attendees included two of the original members - Garry and Jeff.

The meeting featured our first ever modelling competition - with four entries in our Santa Sleigh contest.

Pete's sleigh featured music, a light-up Rudolph nose and sparklers!

Steve had built his sleigh into a dragster, whilst Chris amazed us all by managing to get his sleigh to balance on 009 track.

All other members and guests judge the sleighs and Bob's Christmas train was declared the winner and recipient of our trophy.

We then shared a Christmas buffet - toasting the group with alcohol free beer provided by Matt.
